Review: Essencia Four Set Kabuki Brushes!

I first heard of Essencia Brushes a few months back while reading through some blogs and was like I NEED these in my life even before seeing the review for them! For a long time I had been looking for a set of long handled Kabuki brushes but didn't really want to be selling out the money for Sigma or Sedona Lace purely because even though the brushes might be worth it trying to get things shipped here is a pain in the butt.

After reading through a review or two I decided to purchase them for the set of 4 that I purchased it is £29.50 which I thought was a pretty good price in the set you get a Flat Top Kabuki, Round Top Kabuki, Flat Angled Top Kabuki and a Tapered Kabuki. You can also get a 5 piece set with the Flat, Round, Flat Angled, Angled Round and Tapered for £37.50 as well as being able to purchase them separately for £9.50 each which again isn't a bad price when you look at the prices of single Real Techniques brushes.

This set has genuinely changed the way my makeup looks I would rate them well above my Real Techniques brushes which is saying a lot as they where my hands down fave face brushes. These are Synthetic and are super super soft, I have barely has any shedding with using them over the last few months and nor have found they loose their softness over that time. I love how versatile these are I can use them for foundation to powder to cream face products, I do find that I use certain brushes for certain foundations. When I'm using my Revlon Nearly Naked I use the Round Top Kabuki but when I'm using my Clinique Even Better Foundation I use the Flat Top. I think depending on the consistency of the product your using you can really get the best use out of all of the brushes on the set.

The Tapered Kabuki Is the brush I use every day even if I don't wear foundation for the day I will always apply concealer and this brush is my holy grail for blending out!! Doesn't matter whether its a liquid concealer or a cream one it is flawless and really gets into the under eye area, I used to swear by my beauty blender but I didn't realize how much product was being removed by using the beauty blender.

The only brush I haven't used all that much is the Flat Angled Kabuki and I'm not really sure why it just doesn't seem to be one I grab for although I have used it to set my under eyes a few times and is pretty fantastic for that. I'm pretty sure I will end up using it more when I'm to lazy to clean my brushes haha

So all in all if you are looking for a set of brushes that aren't crazy expensive them get these I personally cannot live without them! I think I would be the happiest personally if these guys decided to bring out eye brushes so if you for some reason are reading this Essencia *cough* make eye brushes *Cough* hehe

Glossybox Unboxing & Review July 2013 *Seaside Splash*

Ill be honest I have no real reason why I have been MIA recently apart from 1. I have kinda been stuck on what to blog about I want to bring more beauty reviews and more beauty related posts to here so hopefully I can start that and stick with it. Also it has been so f*@$ing hot and I don't just been hot I mean stand there and you sweat kind of hot, living on a island surround my a crap ton of water is a horrible combination for hot weather and my sanity.

Anyway let get back tot he point of this post its Beauty Box time of the month and we are kicking off with July 2013 Glossybox!! I am super happy with this box ill be honest all 3 of the boxes Ive been subscribed to have been pretty impressive lately I am loving it :)

This month theme is Seaside Splash so everything have a very beachy & under the sea look to it and I must say the box is pretty snazzy!!

A quick look at the Products...

Lets get into this...

Alterna Haircare - Bamboo Style Boho Waves Tousled Texture Mist. Price: £23 for 125ml - www.lookfantastic.com/alterna

I will say I have always been pretty intrigued by all these texture and sea salt spray and if they actually work and are worth the hype but I have naturally fluffy wavy hair and don't really like it. So I am pretty excited to have got this in a box and I haven't had to spend stupid money on it the only thing I am kind of worried about it that I have dry hair so hopefully that wont mess with it.

Essie - Sleek Sticks in So Haute. Price: £9.99 - www.boots.com/essiestockists

As we all know I am a nail polish addict so anything nail related I get super excited about plus it Essie haha Essie is probably my second fave nail polish brand and I have recently been pretty obsessed with nail wraps. The colors are more Christmasy than Id wear at this time of year but I will def be wearing them into fall!!

Sleek Makeup - Pout Paint in Rosette & Cloud 9. Price £4.99 each - www.sleekmakeup.com

I'm pretty sure this is my favorite product from the whole box!! When I first looked at the box I thought I only had the Pink but then under everything I found the white which I was so happy about as you can see from the swatches it makes an amazing pink when the colors are mixed and its totally me :)

Coola Organic Suncare Collection - Mineral Face SPF 20 Unscented. Price: £29.99 for 50ml - www.amazon.co.uk

This is one of the products that's a bit eh for me I'm sure ill use it and it does fit in with the whole theme of the box but personally not something I'm excited to use or anything. With how the weather has been recently I will have it a try under my foundation and see if it does any.

Anatomicals - Spray Misty for Me Facial Spritz. Price: £6 for 100ml - www.anatomicals.net

In the past I have received Anatomicals in boxes and have been pretty impressed and I hope I grow to like this. I have tried it once or twice but I just don't feel it does anything its meant to refresh you and can be used as a setting spray but I honestly don't see any difference.

That's all for this months Glossybox!!
Are you subscribed to Glossy? did you get anything you loved in your box? Let me know down in the comments :)

Birchbox May 2013 Unboxing & Review

Yes I know I know this was meant to be up  week ago and things just got in the way and I felt super uninspired and had no idea what to blog about but here it is my Birchbox for May finally!!

I really wasn't as impressed with this box as I was with Glossybox this month because well let just put it out there it was a flipping amazing! There are a few products I will use from this box but some items I just find pointless.

A sneak peak at the goodies...

OPI Nail Lacquer - Unknown Color. Price: £11.50
As we all know I am a nail polish junkie and do love OPI but I refuse to pay £11.50 for nail polish when I can get China Glaze or Nicole by OPI for so much cheaper. Its a super pretty pink so it will be perfect for the spring/summer even if it is raining like crazy here!

Elemental Herbology - Cell Plumping Facial Moisturiser SPF8. Price: £42
Ok lets just start with the name it asounds like its something out of Harry Potter lol
Anyway I love trying out moisturisers so I am pretty excited about this, I haven't tried anything that is described as cell plumping though so it will be interesting to see what it does to my face. Also big plus is SPF although only 8 its still in there.

B/Attitude - Body Souffle. Price: £24
I have recently really been getting into body lotions and moisturisers etc and I will def be trying this out and see how it works for £24 I am hoping it is crazy amazing! For me that is a lot just to spend on a body souffle but we will have to see if it is really worth it.
I personally not a big fan of the smell but if it doesn't linger for to long it should be great.

Makebelieve  Enhance - Lipgloss. Price: £7.50
I was so excited to see this in this months box I have received products from Makeblieve before from another beauty box and I really do like this brand and the fact that its a lip product is well awesome! I have worn this a few times and looks so pretty over the top of a nude lipstick gives a really nice glossy look with a little added sparkle. LOVE this!!

*BEAUTY EXTRA*
Doctor Duve - Anti-Aging & Firming Eye Cream. Price: £115
I have recieved these like 3-4 time before and havent used them and probably wont use these they will just get thrown in my sample draw. Ill be honest though even if I did like the product no way in hell would I pay £115 for an eye cream......Just Saying.

*LIFESTYLE EXTRA*
Kusmi Tea - Detox Tea. Price: £13.85
I know I have complained about this in the past but I really hate when these beauty boxes send tea out I don't get it is not beauty related even if it is a detox tea just no lol. I do like the tin though so I will probably keep that for my perfume samples or bobby pins.

So thats everything from this months box again so sorry its late but better late than never :)

Review: Models Own Fruit Pastel Collection - Scented Nail Polish

Yet again I am late to the party on an amazing new thing (I really need to some how become more up to date with whats being launch in the beauty world)
Anyway while in boots the other day I came across and AMAZING mint colored name polish from Models Own and well we all know how I like me some mint nail polish and if you don't well its a lot.
It wasn't until I had wondered round and looked at other products that it said scratch & sniff on the top of the polish.

I had heard about a few brands doing the whole scented nail polish but I had never actually smelt any and well I must say I am pretty impressed.

They have 5 scents in the collection: Strawberry, Apple, Banana, Blueberry, Grape
They only had a few scents at my local boots I don't think it was the whole collection so it try it out I picked up the mint green (Apple Pie) and the yellow (Banana Split)

I am currently wearing the Apple Pie and Loving it! Very much my color and perfect for the spring/summer (well if you can all the week straight of rain we are going to receive over the next 7 days here in England spring/summer)

I'm actually a pretty big fan of apple scents as a kid I always loved apple flavored candy and now I love apple smelling candles so this was a big hit for me, its a true smell to what a fresh apple smells like.
My only really annoying this about this is the fact that it can go on a little streaky I have 2 coats on which makes it a pretty opaque color but it off patches its not such a strong color. Not sure if that's my own fault, also I have found the cap become detached from the brush.

I think this will be the next one I paint my nails with I love banana scents and well this does not disappoint it really just smell like a banana and not the artificial banana smell its yummy.

I have never been a a big fan on Models Own nail polish but after I have tried the few I do own I will be looking out for new polishes from them more often the formula is great and they glide on great apart from the odd patch of streakyness as mentioned above.

I will be on the look out for the other 3 scents for £5 you cant really go wrong especially when boots at the moment have a buy 1 get 1 half price going on :) or you can pick then up from the ModelsOwnIt.com

Hand you tried any of this collection what did you think?

Review: Maybelline Color Whispers

I have been meaning to review these for the LONGEST time like seriously I got these back in January....yes I know bad blogger :/
Anyway onto the review :)
Lets just start off my saying I LOVE LOVE LOVE these!! I picked 2 colors up in Target while shopping for a 100 things I really didn't need haha
The 2 colors I picked up where 55 One Size Fits Pearl & 60 Petal Rebel.

If you have watched my videos in the past you will know the only lip colors I really wear are Nudes and Pinks they are the only colors that suit me, with that being said these to colors are freaking perfect for me!

Now I love the shades and the packaging is just freaking cute my only gripe about these are that they really aren't pigmented enough while they show up really well on you hand once on your lips they are as bright as I would like them to be. I know a lot of people have compared these to the Revlon Lip Butters and although the consistency is very similar I don't see anything else in the 2 products.

Want to know what the biggest problem with these are though? they yet again aren't available in the UK and who knows if they ever will be we are still waiting on freaking Baby Lips and they have been in the US for the longest time! It really annoys the crap out of me that they take so long to bring products to the UK from the USA and unfortunately Maybelline is the worst at this!

Some close up & swatches...
60 Petal Rebel:
55 One Size Fits Pearl
Left: 55. Right: 60

Overall great products and I really hope they appear on the UK market very soon because I need more haha

Review: L'Oreal False Lash Flutter Mascara

On one of my many Boots trips I picked this lil fella up after seeing about a thousand commercials for it and thought hey Ive never tried a L'Oreal Mascara before why not give it ago and well I'm glad I did.

I will be honest at first I HATED it! it didn't apply right, it was to wet and the little flick out wing just didn't work. Also I hated how awkward it was to hold while apply stupid I know. This was a few weeks ago so this past week I thought hmm its been a while why not try it again and well I am warming up to it, it is a great top layer mascara!
Yes I am one of those people who layer several mascara's as once but that personal preference it really divides the lashes and gives them a ton of volume.
I am usually a Maybelline mascara lover and I have a bunch but I must say I am really glad I tried this out and have it time to do whatever it needed to do to actually work.

Here is a shot of it on my lashes I am only wearing this no other mascara.

I personally have pretty long lashes anyway but they truly to lengthen them like crazy!!

If you are wanting to give this a try you can pick it up Here at boots for £10.99 I will admit I normally don't spend that amount of a mascara but they are currently running the 3 for 2 so if you need to pick anything else out it would be a great opportunity to try it out :)
