Miss Glossybox November/December Unboxing & Review 2013

OMG a Box review? really Caitlin?....Yes Im finally posting box reviews from this month it has been awhile since I was away last month for box reviews but I thought hey why not get back to that!!

As you may know Miss Glossybox is the part of Glossybox that is aimed more towards the younger teen group that is sent out every 2 months, but they do still have some pretty good products in it! If you would like to sign up to Miss Glossybox just click here. (*)

This was the November / December box and Ill be honest not that impressed this time :( I was expecting a box that just encompassed the holiday season but there wasn't as much as a piece of tinsel involved in this box.
A quick look at the products.....

So...? Fragrance - So...? Sinful Body Spray. Price: £1.69 for 75ml - www.boots.com

This you can tell is very much aimed to the younger subscribers of the box, its not something Ive used for years and dont really use now. It is a great size for travel though so if you need to you can just through it in a gym bag.

Jelly Pong Pong - 2 in 1 Shadow/Liner. Price: £10.50 - jellypongpong.com

I have actually received one of these before in a blueish green color and while I like both colors the pencils themselves are way to hard. If I was to use this as a liner or a shadow I would have to scrub it on my eye which honestly not something I am jumping to do. I wish it was a softer pencil because this is a color I could easily use in a daily basis.

Clear Start from Dermalogica - Breakout Clearing Foaming Wash. Price: £13 for 177ml - cleanstart.com

I have recieved several different pieces in boxes from Dermalogica and never had any complaint so I am really looking forward to trying this out. I love to change up my skincare routine and I'm always up for trying new stuff out so cant wait to add this to my other skincare.

Elegant Touch - Little Mix Nail Wraps. Price: £6 for a set - www.boots.com

I do love a good nail wrap but again you can easily tell as to what age group this product in aimed for. I think they are pretty cute just not for me really.

Lacoste Perfume - Touch of Pink. Price £38.50 for 50ml - theperfumeshop.com

This has been a scent I have loved for years but never bought so I was super happy to see this in the box!! Very much my kind of scent and will most likely be picking up a full size when I finish the sample :)

SO thats all for this months Miss Glossybox review not their best but still somethings Ill use but hopefully the next one in January will be better :)

Birchbox September 2013 Unboxing & Review *Backstage To Real Life*

I know I know I am so freaking slow on these month and I am hating myself for it I dont know why its been taking me so long recently to actually write anf get posts up! i am sorry if you wanted to see these earlier believe me I really wanted to post them earlier but I think life an work has been a little crazy lately.
Anyway enough of my excuses onto Septembers Birchbox!! it was another London fashion edition :)

A quick look at the products

Reverence de Bastien - Nail Polish in No.14. Price: £16.

You all know I am a nail polish junkie but I am just not wowed with this polish the color is okay but not exact desirable but after doing a little investigations this brand does a lot of reds and similar shades and not very many brights etc. I will admit I haven't tried it yet but I will insert a swatch of it if I can get a decent picture but for this price it better be life changing OPI isn't even this expensive and I find it hard to buy bottles of that unless I find it cheap somewhere.

Bioderma - Sebium H2O. Price: £9.99.

This has to be probably the most talked about product by the European Beauty Vloggers out there and I am so excited to finally have my hands on it!! This little fella is meant to be the holy grail of all makeup removers and I cant wait to see how it does up again waterproof mascara! I have heard such amazing things out this and that the L'Oreal 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution are very similar so we will have to see :)

ModelCo. - Party Proof Matt Lipstick in Kitty. Price: £15.50 for a set of 3.

I am seriously obsessed with lipsticks at the moment so was pretty excited to hear a lip product would be in this months box and Ill be honest when I saw the color I received I wasn't jumping for joy over it. I was hoping for a bright read or something but It has grown on me so much!! super creamy and soft consistency and glides straight on and its one of those colors that is your lip color but better. I was advised to pair it with a lip gloss over the top to make it more me and I ended up using and sparkly nude from Revlon it looked so good together!!

Aromatherapy Associates - Revive Body Gel. Price: £31.

This is probably one of the products I really don't care about, I have so many body washes/gels I really dont need anymore than I already buy haha. It says it is meant to maintain a healthy circulation after a busy day and even your body's skin tone, it sounds like an interesting product if it didn't smell so strong I probably would have a little more excitement about it.

Molton Brown - Ylang-Ylang Nourishing Body Lotion. Price: £18.

Last month we received the body wash/gel in this and I must say I prefer the smell of the lotion to that its not to crazy strong or over powering I will def get around to using this at some point! I also LOVE the bottle for some reason.

*LIFESTYLE EXTRA*

Green & Black's - White Chocolate. Price £2.29

This was a cute little extra to have in this months box I'm not usually a big Green & Black's chocolate fan only because I don't like any form of dark chocolate but this was a tasty little treat :)

That's all for this months Birchbox! If you'd like to sign up to Birchbox please click here.(*)

Glossybox Unboxing & Review July 2013 *Seaside Splash*

Ill be honest I have no real reason why I have been MIA recently apart from 1. I have kinda been stuck on what to blog about I want to bring more beauty reviews and more beauty related posts to here so hopefully I can start that and stick with it. Also it has been so f*@$ing hot and I don't just been hot I mean stand there and you sweat kind of hot, living on a island surround my a crap ton of water is a horrible combination for hot weather and my sanity.

Anyway let get back tot he point of this post its Beauty Box time of the month and we are kicking off with July 2013 Glossybox!! I am super happy with this box ill be honest all 3 of the boxes Ive been subscribed to have been pretty impressive lately I am loving it :)

This month theme is Seaside Splash so everything have a very beachy & under the sea look to it and I must say the box is pretty snazzy!!

A quick look at the Products...

Lets get into this...

Alterna Haircare - Bamboo Style Boho Waves Tousled Texture Mist. Price: £23 for 125ml - www.lookfantastic.com/alterna

I will say I have always been pretty intrigued by all these texture and sea salt spray and if they actually work and are worth the hype but I have naturally fluffy wavy hair and don't really like it. So I am pretty excited to have got this in a box and I haven't had to spend stupid money on it the only thing I am kind of worried about it that I have dry hair so hopefully that wont mess with it.

Essie - Sleek Sticks in So Haute. Price: £9.99 - www.boots.com/essiestockists

As we all know I am a nail polish addict so anything nail related I get super excited about plus it Essie haha Essie is probably my second fave nail polish brand and I have recently been pretty obsessed with nail wraps. The colors are more Christmasy than Id wear at this time of year but I will def be wearing them into fall!!

Sleek Makeup - Pout Paint in Rosette & Cloud 9. Price £4.99 each - www.sleekmakeup.com

I'm pretty sure this is my favorite product from the whole box!! When I first looked at the box I thought I only had the Pink but then under everything I found the white which I was so happy about as you can see from the swatches it makes an amazing pink when the colors are mixed and its totally me :)

Coola Organic Suncare Collection - Mineral Face SPF 20 Unscented. Price: £29.99 for 50ml - www.amazon.co.uk

This is one of the products that's a bit eh for me I'm sure ill use it and it does fit in with the whole theme of the box but personally not something I'm excited to use or anything. With how the weather has been recently I will have it a try under my foundation and see if it does any.

Anatomicals - Spray Misty for Me Facial Spritz. Price: £6 for 100ml - www.anatomicals.net

In the past I have received Anatomicals in boxes and have been pretty impressed and I hope I grow to like this. I have tried it once or twice but I just don't feel it does anything its meant to refresh you and can be used as a setting spray but I honestly don't see any difference.

That's all for this months Glossybox!!
Are you subscribed to Glossy? did you get anything you loved in your box? Let me know down in the comments :)

Birchbox May 2013 Unboxing & Review

Yes I know I know this was meant to be up  week ago and things just got in the way and I felt super uninspired and had no idea what to blog about but here it is my Birchbox for May finally!!

I really wasn't as impressed with this box as I was with Glossybox this month because well let just put it out there it was a flipping amazing! There are a few products I will use from this box but some items I just find pointless.

A sneak peak at the goodies...

OPI Nail Lacquer - Unknown Color. Price: £11.50
As we all know I am a nail polish junkie and do love OPI but I refuse to pay £11.50 for nail polish when I can get China Glaze or Nicole by OPI for so much cheaper. Its a super pretty pink so it will be perfect for the spring/summer even if it is raining like crazy here!

Elemental Herbology - Cell Plumping Facial Moisturiser SPF8. Price: £42
Ok lets just start with the name it asounds like its something out of Harry Potter lol
Anyway I love trying out moisturisers so I am pretty excited about this, I haven't tried anything that is described as cell plumping though so it will be interesting to see what it does to my face. Also big plus is SPF although only 8 its still in there.

B/Attitude - Body Souffle. Price: £24
I have recently really been getting into body lotions and moisturisers etc and I will def be trying this out and see how it works for £24 I am hoping it is crazy amazing! For me that is a lot just to spend on a body souffle but we will have to see if it is really worth it.
I personally not a big fan of the smell but if it doesn't linger for to long it should be great.

Makebelieve  Enhance - Lipgloss. Price: £7.50
I was so excited to see this in this months box I have received products from Makeblieve before from another beauty box and I really do like this brand and the fact that its a lip product is well awesome! I have worn this a few times and looks so pretty over the top of a nude lipstick gives a really nice glossy look with a little added sparkle. LOVE this!!

*BEAUTY EXTRA*
Doctor Duve - Anti-Aging & Firming Eye Cream. Price: £115
I have recieved these like 3-4 time before and havent used them and probably wont use these they will just get thrown in my sample draw. Ill be honest though even if I did like the product no way in hell would I pay £115 for an eye cream......Just Saying.

*LIFESTYLE EXTRA*
Kusmi Tea - Detox Tea. Price: £13.85
I know I have complained about this in the past but I really hate when these beauty boxes send tea out I don't get it is not beauty related even if it is a detox tea just no lol. I do like the tin though so I will probably keep that for my perfume samples or bobby pins.

So thats everything from this months box again so sorry its late but better late than never :)

*BRAND NEW FIRST EVER* Miss Glossybox Unboxing & Review May 2013

As some may know here in the UK Glossybox just released a new bi-monthly box called Miss Glossybox. It is slightly different from the currently Glossybox thought it is aimed id say more at the younger late teens early 20's, from just the first box alone it has more beauty items, no actual box its a bag very similar to Birchbox, it only comes once every 2 months and is around £9 once shipping as been added.

I will just say I am very happy with this box it arrived today which was super fast seeing as they only took the payment a day or so ago! I have seen a lot of people complaining on there Facebook page about the products are good an it doesn't total to the amount of the box but I am so happy and impressed with the item I received. My one annoyance though is I like the surprise of these beauty boxes but this one wasn't they posted pictures everywhere when they first launched it of the products we would be getting, now I don't know if that's because its their first box and they wanted to get the word out and give an idea of products but I hope they don't do that every time a new box comes out.

Anyway enough of my rambling lets get on with the box...

Love the green box and the overall design I am actually pretty glad it didn't come in a proper box because I always have way to many of those just hanging around in rooms of the house.

Sneak Peak into the bag!

Anyway lets get into the products...

Amie - Spring Clean Cooling Clay Mask. Price: £4.95 for 75ml - amieakincare.com

This honestly is the most amazing clay mask I have ever tried I have received 2 of these samples from previous boxes and I have actually purchased a full size. Totally worth the money, it has done amazing things for my skin!!

So...? Dry Shampoo - In Va Va Volume and Lovely. Price: £2.49 for 150ml - Saver Stores

Cant say no to a good dry shampoo and one that adds a little volume I am all for that! Plus with it being a little travel size product its going to be great to be able to just throw in my purse for one the go use :)

Molly Mabel Popband - in Green. Price: £4 - £8 - mollymabel.com

Again this is something I have receive in other boxes not by this particular brand but I have from other brands and wow these ones are over priced!! I am sorry but no way in hell would I pay £4 - £8 for a twist band although they have named then Popbands. Ill use it because i really do like these elastic hair ties but yea over priced!

2True Cosmetics - Glitterati Nail Polish in Shade 6. Price: £1.99 for 7ml - Superdrug.com

finally a glitter polish in a subscription box i see all these box reviews from the US with nail polish in them and well you know me and nail polish. Cant wait to try this out when I change my nail polish :)

Beautyuk - Line & Define Eye Pencil. Price: £1.99 - beautyukcosmetics.com

Eye liners are one of those things I seem to accumulate and im not really sure how but this is super pigmented and great staying power! Super cheap for the quality of this great product!!

Eye Rock - Eye Tattoos.

Now this isn't on the card that was in the package so I have no idea how much they cost or were to buy them I haven't really seen them around. I think this is a pretty cool idea thought Id love to figure out a way that this would look good in a look, maybe a future tutorial? let me know :)

Multicolor Nail File & Nail Clippers.

Again another product that wasn't on the info card so not sure on price or were you can buy these. First of all love the design super summery and great travel sized products will be keeping this for the next time I travel :)

Glossybox Heart Lollipop.

I received this in the February edition of Glossybox tastes of strawberries yummy!

So that is everything from the first ever Miss Glossybox very impressed with the first box!!
