I LOVE WINTER TAG!!

I have been really into finding new blogs recently and I stumbled onto Kellie's Blog BeautyEverAfter and saw she posted a I Love Winter TAG and seeing as Winter & Fall are my Favorites seasons I just had to do the tag!!

1) Favorite Winter Nail Polish?
For a nail addict like myself it is so hard to narrow this down but my faves have to be either a deep purple or a deep blood red both cream based and shimmer.

2) Favorite Winter lip product?
I love my EOS for winter super cute to look at and so moisturizing for those frosty mornings and bitter cold nights, recently though I have been pretty obsessed with red/dark lips!!

3) Most worn Winter clothing piece?
Ooo this was a hard one probably Skinny Jeans with knee high boots and my Parker with a big fluffy hood.

4) Most worn Winter accessory?

Scarfs!! I wesr them all read round but nothing beats a good winter scarf. I have recently been loving chunky knit hats for when I have curly hair too.

5) Favorite winter scent/candle?
Im such a candle whore so this is freaking impossible if I have to choose it would probably be Slatkin & Co - Hot Buttered Rum or Twisted Peppermint, they smell so yummy!

6) Favorite Winter beverage?
Starbucks Peppermint white hot chocolate. Mmmm

7) All time favorite Christmas/Holiday movie?
ELF!! That and the Santa Clause Movies. I cant wait to start watching them!!

8) Favorite Christmas/Holiday song?
I cant pick one some so anything from Blake Shelton: Cheer's, Its Christmas or anything from a Michael Buble Christmas album haha

9) Favorite Holiday food/treat?
Momma Elf's (aka my mum) home made Mince Pies.

10) What is your favorite Christmas Decoration this year?
I love Christmas lights I went super traditional with decorating this year its all Red, White & Gold.

11) What's at the top of your Christmas list?
This year has been so freaking hard to think of anything to ask for last year it was insane in our household with big gifts so this year is going to be a little more low key. If I'm honest the only thing I want this year is a Corgi but I know there is a bigger chance hell will freeze over than me seeing a Corgi on Christmas day hah

12) What are your plans for the holidays this year?
We are always pretty low key for Christmas not to many family is still around so just my mum, step dad and sister for Christmas day. Boxing day though we have my grandparents come over for lunch and this year my good friend has decided to escape her family to join our for the day she is pretty much my mothers 3rd daughter.

I feel so freaking christmasy these last few days I am LOVING it!!

The RED Lip....

As a makeup lover I was pretty late to the lip product section which has become a down right addiction for me! I always end up buying lip products when I makeup shop and usually its always pinks and nudes.
With it being fall and very soon we will be in winter I really wanted to start embracing the deeper and darker lip colors so I thought myself in the deep end with red!!

ELF Lipstick in Fearless & ELF Matte Lip Colour in Rich Red
ELF Long Wear Lip Liner in Bitter & ELF Lipstick in Sociable with Maybelline Colorsensational Lipstick in Pink Punch
For my skin tone and hair color I really have to figure out a way to make my contour a little more defined but I am seriously in LOVE with this look!
I really want to start trying more of the pinky purples and more redish pinks and see how they work on me do you have any recommendations? Id love to hear them :)

Mini MAC Haul + Swatches

If you hadn't seen I went shopping on my Birthday and spent a stupid amount of money at MAC and when I got home I realized the lady who served me missed the one thing I really wanted off of the list I gave her. One thing that annoyed me most about her though was the way she looked at me when I asked for the products I bought like I couldn't afford it, yes I look young and yes it was a lot of money to spend on makeup but don't look down on me because of that.

Anyway the other day I decided to put an order in with MAC online to get the item she missed off and a few other pieces :)

The 3 Items I ordered are: Pro Long Wear Paint Pots in: Mooncake (Baking Beauties Collection) & Let Me Pop, Sheen Supreme Lipstick in Behave Yourself.
I also order another Concealer but didn't see the point in taking pictures of that :)

Though I'd throw in some swatches :)

If you'd like to see what else I picked up from MAC on my Birthday check the video out:

Review: L'Oreal False Lash Flutter Mascara

On one of my many Boots trips I picked this lil fella up after seeing about a thousand commercials for it and thought hey Ive never tried a L'Oreal Mascara before why not give it ago and well I'm glad I did.

I will be honest at first I HATED it! it didn't apply right, it was to wet and the little flick out wing just didn't work. Also I hated how awkward it was to hold while apply stupid I know. This was a few weeks ago so this past week I thought hmm its been a while why not try it again and well I am warming up to it, it is a great top layer mascara!
Yes I am one of those people who layer several mascara's as once but that personal preference it really divides the lashes and gives them a ton of volume.
I am usually a Maybelline mascara lover and I have a bunch but I must say I am really glad I tried this out and have it time to do whatever it needed to do to actually work.

Here is a shot of it on my lashes I am only wearing this no other mascara.

I personally have pretty long lashes anyway but they truly to lengthen them like crazy!!

If you are wanting to give this a try you can pick it up Here at boots for £10.99 I will admit I normally don't spend that amount of a mascara but they are currently running the 3 for 2 so if you need to pick anything else out it would be a great opportunity to try it out :)

Review: Osmo Intensive Deep Repair Mask

So let me start by saying I am 100% a hair product Junkie whether its a new heat protect spray, shampoo or a new oil out there I usually end up picking it up. Recently in a desperate attempt to get my hair to grow and quit breaking on me I have pretty much brought any Hair deep repair mask I can get my hands on.

Anyway onto the product in question...
I actually picked this up I'd say probably the end of last year after seeing it in Sally Express. I have one just up the road from me and try to pop in to see new haircare and nail polish every now and again.
I'm probably stupid but I usually forget to read reviews before purchasing somethings which I know is bad but the pot said intensive deep repair mask so therefore I had to buy it...

The first time I tried this product (I followed the timing etc on the instructions) I really wasn't impressed I didn't feel like it did anything to my hair it didn't feel like it repaired anything to be honest! So this past Monday I thought why not try it out again (Ive been using my all time favorite a lot recently and scared id use it up so I decided to go back to some older ones I had) Over the time that Ive been using these masks Ive come to learn for my hair its put as much on as I can and for as long as I can, I am happy to sit with one of these masks on my hair for 5-6 hours with my head wrapped in saran wrap and a towel to keep my head warm.
So that's what I did this time and well I still don't like it!
My hair was greasy after I thoroughly wash the mask out, not the wet look your hair gets but it was dry on the ends still and just felt oily I had to put more argan oil than I normally to do get anywhere close to soft ends.
Unfortunatly there is nothing intensive or deep repairing about this product.

In the end I just think this really isn't a great product I'll probably use it to just use it up if its the last resort I have but I will not be purchasing it again although its cheap for a £1 or £2 I have picked up some AMAZING hair masks just not this one sadly.
I know this could just be my hair getting on with the product some may love it but its just not something my hair agrees with.

Any good hair mask recommendations that you think I should try? let me know down below in the comments :)

Birchbox UK Review & Unboxing February 2013

As I said in my Previous Post I know its late but as they say better late than never?? hehe

Now for February unlike Glossybox this month Birchbox wasn't Valentines day related it was the London Fashion week box which is actually something I really like I didn't really want to be receiving to very similarly themed boxes so that was great.

Ive always said this but the quality of the the boxes is always great with Birchbox super sturdy and great for storage yes I know this is a bit of a random thing to add tot he review lol

Vichy - Thermal Spa Water (Limited Edition). Price: £7
This product has a few different uses that I really like its great if one product can do several different things. The thermal spa water can be used to set makeup, as a refreshing boost as well as a toner for the skin, whats not to love about that. I personally will be using it to set my makeup I'm still looking for the perfect setting spray so hopefully this will be it. The only thing that makes me think twice is this is like an aerosol can kind of worried how its going to spray out and not make my makeup run.

Korres - Guava Shower Gel. Price: £8
Korres has managed to mix two of my favorite things together in this Fruity smell and shower gel Im a shower gel/body wash hoarder so I am super excited about try this out, plus I have always wanted to try a korres product so it was win win for me :)

Nick Chavez Beverly Hills - Plump N'Thick Leave in Thickening Mist. Price: £13.90
When I first saw this I was pretty weary about it these thickening mists personally have never worked for me but this was actually pretty good it gives the hair a little lift without trying the hair like some of the powder volume products on the market these day. This little fella will be being added into my wet hair routine.

Gerda Spillmann - Bio Fond Cream Foundation. Price: £20
Ok so this is actually a product that really annoyed me while I am a HUGE fan of getting makeup in my boxes I really wish that they would actually look at our profiles that they make us fill out!!! This foundation is way way WAY to dark for my pasty white ass. I was advised to use it as an under foundation contoure which I very well might try but still its the principle of the thing if they want us to fill the profiles out actually read them Birchbox!

*LIFESTYLE EXTRA*
Eboost - Natural Energy Booster. Price: £20.99 (20pkts)
I think Ive received this before but I don't know where it went I must have thrown it out but anyway nice little extra I probably wont drink it id rather got get a rock star or a monster.

*BEAUTY EXTRA*
Eyelash Curler. Price: £10
I loved this little extra I didn't have an eyelash curler before this came never needed one before but such a great little extra.

All in all great box can wait for the next :)

October 2012 SheSaidBeauty Unboxing & Review

I promise this will be the last beauty box review....well until next month hehe

SheSaidBeauty is probably one of my favorite beauty boxes to get in the mail it is very rare that I get a bad box which is always great when your spending £10ish a month for each box and unfortunatly like the other 2 boxes I recieved this month it wasnt over the moon fantastic but still pretty good. Its not the worst box Ive ever recieved but I looked at a product or two and thought Umm why did you put this in the box.
So lets get into the box....

I have always been a fan of SheSaidBeauty's packaging (I am a big sucker for packaging of all kinds) the aqua and hot pink just goes so well together.

The products!!!

1. Cellnique - Advanced Bio Renewal Masque.
I must admit I am loving all these face products that I think all 3 boxes I'm subscribed to are putting in but its going to get to a point where I never want to see a face product again so maybe stop while your ahead SheSaidBeauty?.
Anyway I'm really looking forward to trying this its only a tiny sample but it should be enough for me to get an idea of if I like it or not. Its a scrub masque that's "formulated with a complex of fresh fruit enzymes and acids" and its meant to "exfoliate away dead skin cells and deeply cleanses pores" which for me who is someone that has pore problems around my nose area i think this will be perfect.
A 50g pot retails for $51.
* Get 20% discount on any of Cellnique's top 13 products when using the code 20SHESAID at www.cellnique.com

2. B.Liv - Off With Those Heads.
So this is the second face products in this months box which although i wont be using all the time i think will become pretty handy when it is needed. Its decribed as a "light cooling gel that promises to remove stubborn blackheads and whiteheads" the products is also meant to apparently prevent future irritation and breakouts. I always take products that say those kind of things with a pinch of salt only because everyones skin types are different they cant really quarrenty that kinda of thing either way though will be intersting to try this product out.
A 30ml tube retails for $49 and a 45ml is $63 +shipping
* Get 20% discount on blackhead & large pores treatment kit when using code BKIT20 at www.blivskin.com

3. Herbacin - Wuta Kamille Hand Cream.
I absolutely LOVE this product its probably my second favorite in the box. I tried a small bit of this when I opened it all up and let me just say a little goes a long way!! I looked at the tin to begin with and thought this wont last very long but I think it really will well i hope so anyway. The hand cream is made up from all natural ingrediance and is designed to protect you hands against all weather type. This is def a throw in your handbag type item and the packaging is super cute, all round a great little product and Im glad this was the full size product in the box.
A 20ml tin retails for 99p and a 100ml for £3.49.

4. Biao - Beauty Rejuvenating Night Creme.
This is the final face product in the box and Ive actually seen a few people get 2 sachet's of these am I the only person that only got 1? anyway I actually use a night cream daily, I always used to think night cream was for the older generation but I honestly cant live without it now. Ive personally never heard of this brand but honestly most of the products I receive Ive never heard of but the night cream is designed to sooth, moisturize and protect against premature aging. It'll be nice to try it out and see how it compares to my current night cream.
A 118ml bottle retails for $24.50.
* Get 20% off a purchase at www.biaoskincare.com with code SHESAIDBEAUTY.

5. KeraStraight - Moisture and Protein Masks.
Now these are the products in the box I am hands down the most excited for!! Recently I have been really into trying different hair products since my hair is pretty damaged from dye and heat tools etc so I love trying things that can repair or protect my hair and anything that has keratin in I'm down to try. The two masks are described as being able to "Smooth and Renew hair inside and out" Super excited to try this out and the packets are actually a decent size so very happy :).
A 100ml pot retails for £25.

5. Myvitamins - D3 Food Supplements. *SSB TREAT*
This is the product that when I opened up my box I thought HUH why is this in a beauty box? and honestly I still don't know. I know this is an extra little thing in the box a treat apparently but id rather they didn't both I'm never going to use these and from what Ive read a lot of people are disappointed with this.
The packet retails for £2.49.

All in all I am pretty impressed with this months box and I do hope that SheSaidBeauty continues to impress me :)

*I am in no way affiliated with SheSaidBeauty, these thoughts are very much my own :)
